It is a data structure that is grouped into a chain of blocks. These blocks have meta information that relate the previous block to the next one within a timeline. In this way, if you want to edit or change the information of a block you will have to edit the entire blockchain. This makes it possible to create a distributed, decentralized environment, with irrefutable and encrypted history of the information.

As it is a data structure without a central entity that controls it, it creates a distributed trust model among participants. The blockchain is a 4.0 technology that enables collaboration based on a distributed and immutable record, ensuring transaction security and transparency.

When one or more actors agree on the terms of use: a consensus is created. Thus the actors have to trust each other and collaborate in the growth of the network under mutual trust and low functional friction.

Blockchain is a network of computers that are nodes connected to each other. These nodes use a common protocol in order to store and validate the same information in a P2P (Peer2Peer) network. This information called Ledger (Common Ledger) records all transactions between nodes from their first transaction to their last. Distributed Ledger Technology (DTL) is the acronym for this type of architecture.
